How Seait works, module by module.

Boats

Every boat belongs to a member and can be placed on the map — in the water, on land, or in a rack.

Identity and dimensions

Boats get a human-readable id derived from their owner (for example 10001_2 — the owner's member number plus an index). Length and width matter: they drive berth fitting, storage planning and pricing formulas.

The boat registry is a shared catalog of boat models that pre-fills dimensions when adding boats.

On the map

A boat can be placed freely, in a berth, or in a rack. “On map” boats have a position; the rest are listed but not drawn. Staff place and rotate boats directly on the map.

Notes

A boat carries three kinds of notes, each with its own audience and lifetime. Any of them lights the amber note badge on the map, and a “!” marker in the boat list.

Note — permanent staff stickySeason note — cleared at set-out
  • Note (amber card) — permanent staff note; stays until deleted.
  • Season note (blue card) — temporary staff note for the on-land season; cleared automatically when the boat is set out to sea.
  • Member note — written by staff, shown to the owner on My page.

Requested times

Members can request set-out and lift-up times from My page, with an optional note. Requests appear on the boat and as a badge on the map; staff turn them into scheduled operations.
