Tasks
Tasks track work: seasonal boat operations (set out / lift up) and any general to-dos.
Set out and lift up
Scheduling a set-out or lift-up time on a boat creates its operation task. A boat has at most one active task of each kind, and the task completes automatically when the boat's actual state changes — set the boat in the water and the set-out task is done.
On the map's Boats lens these operations drive the boat colors (red overdue, green today, yellow upcoming); in the Tasks lens and task lists, overdue tasks read red so nothing slips.
General tasks
General tasks have a title, description, schedule and any number of assignees. They can be connected to an order so the work and the billing stay linked.
Delegating and sharing
Assign tasks to staff or truck drivers, or delegate to an external service provider — they only ever see tasks given to them. A task can also be shared with someone without an account through a secure link.
Calendar
The calendar shows operations and tasks on a timeline. Drag boats or tasks from the sidebar onto a date to schedule them.
